“Within many languages, including Amazonian Quechua, Tibetan, Aramaic, Latin, Greek, Hawaiian and others, the word for “breath” is the same word that is used to describe life, spirit, and soul.”
Physiologically breathing is an involuntary process. Most of us breathe at about 12 to 20 times per minute. It is one of the basic foundations to life. But spiritually speaking, your breath is one of the natural mechanisms within you that can move you into deeper spiritual states of awareness.
In this breath journey you will be led through a deeply transformative circular breathing exercise combined with powerful music. The journey will end with a guided moving meditation and mandala work. Most people describe their experience in a breath journey as life changing.
Breathwork itself has been used for thousands of years for many reasons. Here are just a few:
- To access healing and insight
- To expand consciousness
- To release stress or anxiety
- To re-energize the body
- To gain clarity and vision
To be clear this breath journey has a totally different purpose then the Wim Hof method which is designed more towards physical endurance, boosting immune system, etc and you have to be willing to take cold baths. The breathwork we will be doing has its roots in amazonian and tibetian yoga traditions and is designed to connect you with your inner intelligence, get insights into your life, and release energetic body blocks.
This breath journey is focused on bringing you to an expanded state of awareness where the mind chatter subsides and you embrace the divine guidance that already exist within you.
Keep in mind that during the process, it’s common for you to experience a wide spectrum of feelings. Such sensations can include deep relaxation, joy, serenity, sleep or meditative states, and possibly the release of past trauma. Even past life experiences have been reported too.
This practice is similar in many ways to The Rebirthing Method from Leonard Ore, and Holotropic Breathwork, which was brought forward by Stanislov Grof. Both of these modern methods have origins in ancestral wisdom traditions that we utilize.
This type of breathwork should be avoided by anyone with a history of the following: cardiovascular disease, high blood pressure, glaucoma, retinal detachment, aneurisms, significant recent physical injuries or surgery. Pregnant women should avoid this type of breathwork as well.
Also avoid eating a large meal at least 90 minutes before we begin. Wear comfortable clothing and you may bring a pillow, blanket, and yoga mat. These are provided but in limited supply.
Date: The first Sunday of every month, 2020.
No admittance 15 minutes after start time.

The location is located right off the Pleasant Grove I-15 exit. It’s really easy to see from far off, as you head east off the freeway it’s the new 6 story building to your right. It’s next door to The Void in Lindon (used to be the old Noah’s). It may look like it is under construction but purify is open! The location is on the bottom north west corner of the building.***
